Verifying your profile

The verified badge tells other people that the person in your photos is you. It takes a minute and it materially changes how people respond to your stories.

Last updated [DUMMY DATE — see LAUNCH.md]

What the badge means

A verified account has completed a photo check against the pictures on its profile. It is not a paid feature, it is not a status symbol, and it cannot be transferred. It means one specific thing: a person matched their own photos.

How to get verified

[DUMMY — replace with the real flow: where in the app it lives, what the prompt asks for, how long review takes, and what a rejection looks like.]

What happens to the photo

[DUMMY — state whether the verification photo is stored, for how long, whether it is ever shown to other users (it should not be), and which processor handles it. This must match the privacy policy.]

Losing verification

Changing your profile photos to someone else, or being repeatedly reported for impersonation, will remove the badge and may remove the account.

Common questions

What does the verified badge mean on Feelr?

It means a real person completed a photo check against the pictures on their profile. It cannot be bought and it is not tied to a paid plan.

Do I have to verify to use Feelr?

No. Unverified accounts work normally. Verification is a signal to other people that you are who your photos say you are.
