Safety

Meeting someone should feel safe first.

Feelr shows you people who are physically nearby. That is the whole point of the product, and it is also the thing we have to be most careful about. Here is exactly how it works.

Verification

A verified badge on Feelr means a real person completed a photo check against the pictures on their profile. It is not a paid badge and it cannot be bought. Unverified accounts can still use Feelr, but the badge is a meaningful signal and we treat it that way.

[DUMMY — describe the actual verification vendor, the process, how long it takes, and what happens to the verification photo.]

Location and distance

Feelr uses your approximate location to show you stories from people nearby, and to show them roughly how far away you are. We never show your exact position, an address, or a map pin.

  • Distance is shown in rounded terms, never as coordinates.
  • You can turn distance display off entirely.
  • Location is only used while the app is in use.

[DUMMY — confirm exact precision, retention period and controls.]

Starting a conversation

Nobody can message you out of nowhere. A conversation can only begin when someone replies to a story you posted, and it only opens when you answer. Until then it sits as a request that you can ignore, decline or report.

Declining is silent. The other person is not told, does not see a rejection, and cannot tell the difference between being declined and being ignored.

Reporting and blocking

Every profile, story and conversation can be reported from inside the app. Reports are reviewed by a human.

[DUMMY — describe review turnaround, escalation, what happens to a reported account, and how the reporter is followed up with.]

Your data, and leaving

Stories expire after twenty-four hours. You can delete any story before then, and you can delete your entire account — profile, chats, stories — from inside the app at any time. See how to delete your account.

What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.

What we expect

  • Be the person in your photos.
  • Be eighteen or older.
  • Take no for an answer, including silence.
  • Meet in public the first time.

Accounts that harass, impersonate, or misrepresent their age are removed. Full rules are in the terms.
